Kingdom TV’s Nakalema on UMCAT Media School

Nakalema Grace also known as Nakline Grace is a Radio & Television Presenter, News anchor, & Reporter and the CEO of Life Touch Foundation Uganda. Grace is a former student of UMCAT school of Journalism and she shared her experience with LinkmeUg’s Johnson Thembo.

Grace: In 2014, when I was looking through a number of journalism schools in the country I found out about UMCAT through a friend and when I went there, I was impressed with the hands on lecture approach they use. I joined in September that year. Like every ambitious  I underlined my areas of interest and opted to work hard on it.

How did UMCAT help you find a job?

Grace: Before the end of First trimester, I was one of the most out standing students a UMCAT that’s how I was recommended to different media houses. At the end of Yr 1, I got my first paying job with Radio ABC for a Mid-morning show called inspirations.

UMCAT continued to polish my skills and a lecturer recommended me to Kingdom Television as a News Reporter. Now I know the sky is the limit.  UMCAT taught me how to be professional.
