Two south African youths believed to be between 24-30 have braved the 11 hours of flight from Johannesburg the UK after stealthily getting on board British Airways.

Unfortunately, one of them died after falling out of the plane’s landing gear and landing on top of a roof in London on Thursday 18th June 2015. Police found the man lying on his back with his legs in the air on top of an electrical box after enduring temperatures of about -60C.

The second youth of about 24 was discovered in the undercarriage of the same plane in critical condition. He is yet to be identified and discharged from hospital.

Unemployment in Africa is fast reaching breaking points with hundreds risking all to make trips across the Sahara and the Mediterranean sea in order to reach Europe.

In Uganda, many youths will do anything to get a visa to go abroad and work or live there. Some have been driven by desperation to  traffic drugs, engage crimes, enter prostitution and many others.
